Cardi B denies interest in ‘B.A.P.S.’ remake with Megan Thee Stallion

Cardi B recently took to Twitter to address rumors about her supposed interest in starring in a remake of the 1997 comedy classic “B.A.P.S.” alongside Megan Thee Stallion. The rumors stemmed from an interview with the original film’s director, Robert Townsend, who claimed that both rappers had approached him with the idea of reprising the roles originally played by Halle Berry and the late Natalie Desselle-Reid.

However, Cardi B denied the rumor, saying she didn’t even know where it came from. She suggested that perhaps the idea had been sparked by the two rappers’ previous collaboration on the hit song “WAP,” which paid homage to late ’90s fashion and featured over-the-top hairstyles and nail designs reminiscent of the film.

Despite Cardi B’s denial, many fans and commentators are still excited about the prospect of a modern-day “B.A.P.S.” remake with the two popular rappers in the lead roles. Co-host Syleena Johnson of “Cocktails with Queens” praised the idea, saying that Cardi B is one of the funniest people in the world and that the chemistry between the two friends on screen would be excellent.

Whether or not the remake ever comes to fruition remains to be seen, but it’s clear that the idea has generated a lot of buzz and excitement among fans. For now, we’ll have to wait and see what Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion have in store for their next project together.
