Sarah Christine Dwyer an emerging professional known as Cloutie Will is an Australian female artist who was greatly inspired by Bjork, Fiona Apple, Lauryn Hill and Alanis Morrisette. She hopes and dreams of merging into the newer generation of hip-hop influenced by Sia, Beyonce, Adele, Mariah Carey and rappers like Niki Minaj, Cardi B and Azealia Banks.
The name Cloutie Will is a derivation of an ancient Celtic practice “Cloutie wells” of healing in which either offerings of grotesque castoffs or offerings of fine cloth/rags (the Clootie/Cloutie) are tied to a tree beside a sacred water site as an offering to the goddess, nature spirit or later saint in appeal to heal and refresh. So the name Cloutie Will is about healing.
We would describe Cloutie Will as a genuinely kind-hearted person living an ordinary life, who makes music for fun and writes gritty edgy songs with undertones of erotic cathartic rage questioning established sexual power dynamics.
If she really landed a record deal – she would have no problem quitting her job and flying to LA to make her presence known!
