We had the opportunity to follow up with Rapper Fortmanny Bets and chatted about his life and current/upcoming projects that he is currently working on.Who are your biggest influences in Hip Hop?I really loved listening to Snoop Dogg and Tupac growing up. The West Coast style appealed to me and kinda set the tone for what I would look for in myself as an artist.Music has evolved so much over the years and my biggest influences continue to change, but I feel it’s always good to pay homage to those that paved the way.
Where do you find inspiration?
Everywhere. From Live Shows to Music videos, to artists social media pages and how they are run. I spend time in the studio absorbing a lot of different beats and putting together the best melodies. Sometimes a good session is done in the moment, and I’m really feeling the music in my soul. It’s bless knowing that I can inspire others through my music, that is a cycle of inspiration that keeps revolving!
When is your favorite time of day to create?
I typically work through the night, I just find it best fits my brand and the style of music I create. I’m able to work long hours and just vibe with the team. I feel like my vibe comes alive in the nighttime.
Describe how your music is important to hip hop?It reflects my life and struggles. It’s relatable to those who need an outlet from their lives. It will reach anybody who needs a moment of strong vibes. I believe that the music I am providing the industry will really change the way we listen to music today.
What motivates you to create?
It’s my life man! I couldn’t wake up and feel productive if I’m not working in the studio or putting together some great new music and bars. The more love I get the more powerful I feel with continuing to create.
When can we expect your new project?
I’m moving with a quality sound and design. I’m ready to push out the project early next year. Want to start off the new year with a bang! My latest song really reflects the tone of my next project. I’m happy I gave the people a taste and now they are hungry for more! Stay tuned because the best is yet to come.
