2023 QB Oliver Johnson is as good as they come. Born and raised in California, yet residing in Huntsville, Alabama, this young athlete is on his way to major success. The Rising Senior QB in his junior season led the Freedom Cowboys to a 12-2 record and State-Championship Runner-Up, all while passing for over 1,000 yards and rushing for just under 1,000. His Dual-Threat style is perfect for his size (5’10, 190lbs) and allows him to open up the field that much more. Heavily vouched for by his teammates and coaches, he his very known for his ability to make plays when all else fails.
He is one of the most difficult QB’s to predict because he is made for the big moments and always finds a way in the midst of chaos. He stepped up big for his team this past season playing both sides of the ball as he was also a LB guarding the middle of the field. This kid is relentless and will do whatever it takes to win the game. His passion speaks louder than words and showcases the glowing character of this young man. He is also laser focused in the classroom with a very impressive 3.8 GPA. We spoke with him and asked him what are his goals for next season and he simply said, “To Win a Championship for the city of Huntsville and improve my statistics”.
