Mo Baig Wants To Go Big In Music

“If you can dream it, you can do it.”

This quote by the legendary American entrepreneur and animator Walt Disney struck a chord with up-and-coming artist Mo Baig.

His dream? Living life on his own terms. Mo didn’t want to be stuck in the corporate slog. Growing up, he saw tons of them in New York City. And one look at their always busy state, he swore that he would never let that happen to him.

Living in the Big Apple didn’t just expose him to a life he didn’t want to live. At the same time, Mo also saw the other side of NYC: the creative geniuses on Broadway. Mo listened to show tunes as early as the age of five. By the time he was a teenager, Mo started writing his own songs and melodies, as inspired by Broadway’s most prominent writers, like Stephen Sondheim and Jonathan Larsson.

Back then, Mo only treated music as his escape — as a place where he could truly be himself.

But now that he’s 20 years old, he realized that he knew a way to take full control of his life all along. He realized that what he needed to do was make music and share it with the world.

Now, Mo is effectively hitting two birds with one stone. By starting a music career, he’s doing what he truly loves and he’s also fulfilling his life-long dream to live a free life. And in the spirit of truly being free, Mo doesn’t allow himself to get tied up with a music label. He’s independently producing his music, and he vows to release his first album and go on tour as soon as the pandemic ends.

In the meantime, Mo Baig is focused on creating music that will resonate with his generation, while at the same time, drawing inspiration from the Broadway shows that ignited his passion for music and the arts.
