How long have you been in the music industry?
“I’ve been in the industry pretty much my entire life but grinding it out as a solo artist I’d say around 8 years solid now really chasing it.”
What is your biggest accomplishment?
“If we’re talking life in general, probably being able to selectively choose the right people to keep around me. In music specifically, I’d say my catalog. I’m very proud of the work we’ve put in and the art we’ve been able to create over the years. It’s a culmination of things for me.”
How has COVID affected you on your music journey?
“Experiencing COVID was a lot for me. I went through a really tough mental space once the world shut down. As a creative and mainly an extrovert, staying home alone wasn’t healthy for me. I do well alone but because everything was shut down, I felt compelled to take my foot off the gas a little bit, my team and I were no longer focused on our career goals and It put me in an uninspired state. We’re just now starting to pick up momentum again.”
What’s your next move ?
“This is Chess not checkers. There’s 2 rules in life. 1. Don’t tell people everything you know.”
Are you working on any projects ?
“Yes, There is a new Full Length P Double album on the way.”
Where do you see yourself in 1 year ?
“Just as happy healthy and successful as we are right now.”
If you could pick one or the other what would you choose, the money or the fame?
“Neither, grinding this out for 10 years without money or fame will teach you a lot. My why will never be about either of those. I Do this because it’s my sanity, it’s cathartic and how I articulate the world. I can’t be bought or sold.”
