Drake Faces Heat Over 2Pac Jewelry Purchase

Drake’s recent purchase of 2Pac’s jewelry has sparked criticism from those closest to the late rap icon.

2Pac’s brother, Mopreme, voiced disapproval during an appearance on The Latest, questioning Drake’s motives: “My man needs to think more about his moves. If London rappers are the best, why chase after Pac’s jewels? I feel the family should have all of Pac’s things.”

Adding fuel to the debate, Suge Knight also dismissed the authenticity of the chain. Speaking to The Art of Dialogue, the Death Row co-founder said: “That’s not 2Pac’s chain. Whoever sold you that, Drake, you need to go beat his ass. Crazy.”

Drake’s fascination with 2Pac’s jewelry isn’t new. Last year, he spent over $1 million at auction on a gold, ruby, and diamond ring inscribed with “Pac & Dada 1996,” tied to Pac’s engagement to Kidada Jones.

The purchase even made its way into rap beefs. During his explosive “Pop Out” show in L.A., Kendrick Lamar flipped lyrics from “Euphoria,” demanding Drake “give me 2Pac’s ring back” before offering any respect.

For now, Drake remains at the center of the storm surrounding Pac’s legacy and jewels.
