El Paso’s own Assasin The General is creating a sound that’s bigger than his hometown. With a mix of East Coast lyricism, West Coast attitude, and Texas-Mexico border influence, his music brings something fresh but rooted. Inspired by greats like Eminem, Jadakiss, Vinnie Paz, The Doors, and Dr. Dre, Assasin uses raw emotion to build songs that feel personal, real, and powerful.
He calls his writing “therapeutic poetry” — a way to release anger, sadness, or joy depending on the moment. Every song starts with a feeling and builds into something fans can relate to. He doesn’t chase trends or follow the crowd. “I do me,” he says proudly — and that authenticity comes through every bar.
Recently, he’s teamed up with rising artists from Spain and has a long list of heavyweight collaborators under his belt including Westside Boogie, Planet Asia, Chris Rivers, Eternal (Killa Beez), and Tash. One standout moment? Releasing a track through Anno Domini that Eminem himself didn’t block named WTFYGD, streaming on all platforms., something few can say.
His past project Post Traumatic Poetry isn’t just a title — it’s also a published poetry book that reveals his real-life battles and growth. Music is more than a grind for him — it’s a daily need, a way to process life.
