NTVE: The Black Sheep of Blountstown Ready to Take Over the Hip Hop Scene

Blountstown, Florida, might not be the first city that comes to mind when you think of rising hip hop stars, but ShaQuad—better known by his stage name NTVE—is changing that narrative with his unique style and tenacity. For over a decade, NTVE has been grinding in the rap game, building a distinct voice that resonates with real-life struggles and artistic innovation.

Starting officially in 2015 with his feature on the track So High and releasing a short EP titled Old Problems exclusively on SoundCloud, NTVE has since evolved into a multifaceted artist. His inspirations read like a who’s who of hip hop creativity—Westside Boogie, Isaiah Rashad, Andre 3000, Vince Staples, and Earl Sweatshirt—all shaping his craft as he dives deeper into rap and explores new genres.

NTVE is a firm believer in authenticity, writing all his own lyrics and often crafting the concepts behind his music videos. This hands-on approach helps keep his art fresh and personal. Collaboration is key in his journey, with features alongside Atlanta’s Skoolinc, Baltimore’s John Wells, and New York’s Faith Bleu showing his versatility and reach.

While still independent, NTVE dreams big—eyeing record deals or the perfect distribution partner that aligns with his vision. His recent EP Black Sheep dropped in March, followed by singles in April and May, culminating in his upcoming June 30th single Brinks Truck. This is a name to watch, blending thoughtful lyricism with hard-hitting beats, some of which are shaped by producer Thomas Maggart.

Performance-wise, NTVE has built a solid foundation, having played for crowds up to 60 people. But he’s aiming higher, envisioning stages in Los Angeles and Tokyo and dreaming of touring with artists like Guapdad 4000 and his brother Skoolinc.

In five years, NTVE sees himself signed and thriving, making a genuine living from music and tours. Until then, he’s focused on dropping quality projects and growing his dedicated fanbase.
