Hailing from Akron, Ohio, Shar Kriztin is an artist whose versatility and passion shine through in everything she does. Whether it’s singing, rapping, dancing, or modeling, Shar has never been afraid to explore every corner of her artistic potential. Her journey in music began at the tender age of five, but it wasn’t until 2010 that she made her mark in the industry.
“I’ve always been around music, but it wasn’t until I recorded my first song, ‘Love At First Sight,’ that I truly started to realize my potential. I still have it up on YouTube under Sharlane Christine,” Shar explains with a smile.
Her music is a blend of Afro-Pop, R&B, Neo-Soul, and Trap. She describes it as “Afro-Trap,” a sound that merges the vibrant, rhythmic beats of Afro-Pop with the hard-hitting elements of trap music. With influences ranging from her family—her father, mother, child, and life experiences—Shar Kriztin crafts songs that feel personal yet universally relatable.
Though she hasn’t signed a deal yet, Shar has always believed in maintaining creative freedom. “I’ve always been an independent artist, and I’m open to opportunities, but it has to be the right fit,” she says when asked about label deals. This independence is reflected in the way she writes and produces her music, as she’s heavily involved in every aspect of her music, including conceptualizing her own music videos.
Her latest single, “Like A Fool,” is distributed through Virgin Music Group and marks the beginning of a new chapter in her career. It’s just the start, though. She’s currently working on her debut EP and already has plans to release new music in January.
“I want to go global. I want to perform in places like New York and Paris, and one day, I can see myself on tour with artists like Tyla, Ariana Grande, and Summer Walker,” Shar shares, her ambition clear.
As an artist who’s deeply committed to both her craft and her loved ones, Shar’s biggest supporters—her fiancé, mother, little sister, and aunt—have been her foundation. She’s ready to build her future and take her career to new heights, aspiring to own her own home and make a lasting impact on the music world.
