Tunngtyed: Bringing “Visceral Rap” to Life

Emerging from the gritty streets of Michigan and Philadelphia, Tunngtyed is a rap duo redefining what it means to make music from the gut. Comprised of G-Blunt (Philly) and Tha Baztad (Michigan), the pair describe their sound as “Visceral Rap”—a style rooted in raw emotion, inner struggles, and the unfiltered truths that live deep within.

Their influences are as diverse as their backgrounds. G-Blunt draws inspiration from Lil Wayne, G-Unit, De La Soul, and Onyx, while Tha Baztad’s sound is shaped by Mobb Deep, Wu-Tang Clan, RJ Payne, and Tech N9ne. Together, they channel these inspirations into a style that is unapologetically authentic and unpredictable.

Earlier this year, the duo dropped their debut single “WATCH OUT!!!”—a hard-hitting introduction to their artistry, giving fans a taste of what’s to come as they prepare solo projects and full-length albums. They’ve also gained momentum through features, most notably appearing alongside Krizz Kaliko on “Hurt Em” by Colorado artist MadWackJackson, a collaboration that marked a major milestone in their journey.

When it comes to creating, Tunngtyed thrives on brainstorming sessions, trading lyrics back and forth, and building tracks organically. Their songs touch on everything from pain and poverty to personal battles and unapologetic truths. For Tha Baztad, it’s about channeling struggle and survival, while G-Blunt delivers a mix of sharp humor and raw honesty: “If I said it, I meant it.”

With a growing fanbase, Tunngtyed is focused on expanding their label, performing more often, and uplifting fellow artists under their banner. More than anything, they want listeners to walk away with one message: Hip-Hop is alive, and it always will be.
