This marks the Atlanta rapper’s fourth No. 1 album, narrowly surpassing the debut week of his previous solo endeavor, “i am > i was,” which opened with 131,000 units and later earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards.
While 21 Savage’s solo career continues to thrive, it’s noteworthy that his most significant sales weeks stem from notable collaborations. His track “Her Loss” alongside Drake earned a staggering 404,000 first-week units, and the collaborative effort with Metro Boomin on “Savage Mode 2” achieved 171,000 units.
“American Dream” features a star-studded lineup, including Young Thug, Travis Scott, Lil Durk, Summer Walker, Brent Faiyaz, and more. The surprise release was met with anticipation, and its impact extended beyond the music realm.
