Rick Ross is keeping his travel plans intact despite facing battery charges in Miami.
The Maybach Music Group boss was arrested on October 1 in connection with battery allegations and was later released on bond after pleading not guilty. Shortly afterward, Ross took to social media to show that he had followed through on plans to travel overseas, posting from Dubai and Paris.
The rapper’s international getaway quickly caught the attention of fans, particularly because of comments he made shortly after his release from jail. Speaking to reporters at the time, Ross strongly denied the allegations against him and confidently discussed his upcoming travel itinerary.
Ross had previously said he planned to be in Dubai and Paris shortly after leaving jail. His latest social media posts appear to show that he followed through on those plans.
The legal situation stems from allegations of domestic violence. Ross has denied wrongdoing and maintains that the accusations against him are fabricated.
His former partner, Jazzma Kendrick, previously shared a photograph showing an injury to her lip and accused Ross of causing it. She later thanked supporters for their concern. However, authorities have not publicly confirmed that Kendrick is the alleged victim in the criminal case. The arrest affidavit identifies the alleged victim only by the initials “JK,” leaving that connection unconfirmed.
Ross was reportedly released on a bond of approximately $5,000 to $6,000 and is facing misdemeanor battery and felony battery by strangulation charges. His legal team is expected to handle his upcoming pre-trial proceedings after Ross waived his right to personally attend those hearings.
The rapper’s arraignment is reportedly scheduled for October 22 in Miami-Dade County.
For now, Ross appears focused on maintaining his usual lifestyle while the legal process moves forward. His Dubai and Paris posts have inevitably drawn attention, but the underlying case remains unresolved, and Ross remains entitled to the presumption of innocence as the proceedings continue.
Whether Ross makes further public comments about the allegations remains to be seen. For the moment, his social media activity suggests that the Miami legal situation hasn’t stopped the rapper from continuing with his international travels.
