Could Destiny’s Child be preparing for another reunion? Rumors have picked up as fans speculate about a possible appearance connected to JAY-Z and the Super Bowl halftime show. Kelly Rowland has now weighed in, giving fans a response without confirming that a reunion is in the works.
The speculation follows the announcement that JAY-Z will headline the 2027 Super Bowl halftime show. Through Roc Nation’s partnership with the NFL, the rap mogul has helped shape the event’s musical direction for several years. Naturally, fans are already wondering which major artists could join him onstage.
Beyoncé is an obvious name in the conversation, given her marriage to JAY-Z and her history of delivering memorable halftime performances. But fans have also started imagining a Destiny’s Child reunion featuring Rowland and Michelle Williams.
During a recent interview with PEOPLE, Rowland was asked about the possibility of reuniting with her former groupmates for the Super Bowl. Rather than confirming or denying anything, she responded with a playful: “That’s none of my business. That’s his performance.”
Her answer comes shortly after Destiny’s Child members enjoyed a VIP reunion at JAY-Z’s Los Angeles concert. The trio was spotted dancing together in a suite, giving longtime fans a nostalgic moment even though they did not take the stage together. That appearance helped fuel hopes that something bigger could be on the horizon.
Of course, there’s no official confirmation that Destiny’s Child will perform at the Super Bowl. JAY-Z’s halftime appearance is already generating plenty of excitement, and the possibility of surprise guests only adds to the anticipation.
For fans who grew up with classics like “Say My Name,” “Survivor,” and “Bootylicious,” seeing Beyoncé, Kelly, and Michelle share a stage again would be a major moment. Until an announcement arrives, however, Rowland is keeping things mysterious—and letting JAY-Z handle his own show.
