Interviewer: Good day, Cartier WOW. Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background?
Cartier WOW: Sure thing. My stage name is Cartier WOW, but I’m still known by my birth name, Warrick Moore. I hail from Cincinnati, Ohio, with roots also reaching into Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Mandeville, Jamaica. My father, a renowned reggae artist, still resides in Jamaica.
Interviewer: That’s quite a mix. What do you do in the entertainment industry?
Cartier WOW: I dabble in various creative endeavors, from music to acting to fashion.
Interviewer: How long have you been involved in music?
Cartier WOW: Music’s been a part of my life since day one. I grew up in the studio with my father and often joined him on stage during his performances. It’s been a journey, and music has always been my passion.
Interviewer: Who are some of your biggest inspirations?
Cartier WOW: My father is a significant inspiration, but I’m also influenced by many old-school legends across various genres—James Brown, Bobby Brown, Prince, Michael Jackson, and Rick James. Their artistry, style, and flair have always captivated me.
Interviewer: What genre would you say your music falls into?
Cartier WOW: My music is a fusion of hip-hop, R&B, pop, reggae, Dancehall, and sometimes even rock ‘n’ roll. I don’t limit myself; music is boundless, offering endless creative possibilities.
Interviewer: Have you collaborated with any artists yet?
Cartier WOW: Not yet. Right now, I’m focused on building my own catalog and establishing my artistic identity. But I’m open to collaborations in the future, especially with artists who share my vision for music and fashion.
Interviewer: Who’s someone you’d love to collaborate with, dead or alive?
Cartier WOW: The legends I mentioned earlier—James Brown, Michael Jackson, Prince, and Rick James. They’re the GOATs.
Interviewer: Are you signed to a label?
Cartier WOW: No, I’m not signed to a label. I’m currently under my own management company.
Interviewer: Do you aspire to sign with a label?
Cartier WOW: Not necessarily. Many label deals aren’t favorable for artists nowadays. I believe in finding great partners and exploring independent avenues, if financially feasible.
Interviewer: Who are your biggest supporters?
Cartier WOW: My family, friends, and sometimes even strangers who resonate with my music. Support comes from unexpected places. I just stay positive and keep working.
Interviewer: Lastly, where did your stage name come from?
Cartier WOW: “Cartier” represents hustle and luxury, while “WOW” signifies introducing listeners to my unique world of Warrick.
Interviewer: Thanks for your time, Cartier WOW. What’s next for you?
Cartier WOW: More music projects are in the works, so stay tuned!
