Earlier this month, A$AP Rocky finally released his long-awaited fourth studio album, Don’t Be Dumb. The project arrived stacked with high-profile features, including Tyler, The Creator, Doechii, and Brent Faiyaz, among others—and fans clearly showed up for it.
Following its release, Don’t Be Dumb debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, moving approximately 123,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. Now, according to DJ Akademiks, the album is projected to move around 50,000 units in its second week, signaling a strong hold after its chart-topping debut.
Initial expectations for the album were even higher. Early projections suggested Rocky could clear 200,000 units in week one, largely due to reports that more than 130,000 vinyl copies had been sold. In the end, however, only about 45,000 vinyl units were eligible to count toward the first-week total, resulting in the lower—but still impressive—final tally.
Despite the revised numbers, the moment has been a celebratory one for Rocky and his supporters. His partner, Rihanna, publicly celebrated the milestone on Twitter/X, proudly announcing that her “baby daddy” had secured the No. 1 album in the country.
And the run may not be over just yet. During a recent appearance on The Joe Budden Podcast, Rocky teased the possibility of a deluxe version of Don’t Be Dumb, hinting at additional features and even jokingly addressing whether Rihanna might come “out of retirement” to appear on it. While he didn’t confirm anything outright, he spoke about her wide-ranging taste and creative encouragement behind the scenes.
As of now, no release date has been announced for a deluxe edition. Still, with a No. 1 debut, steady second-week projections, and more music potentially on the way, Don’t Be Dumb is shaping up to be one of the defining releases of A$AP Rocky’s career.
