Speaking with DJ Envy, Tacopina explained that his close ties with Roc Nation and Jay-Z made taking the case a conflict of interest. “I represent Roc Nation,” he said. “I’m very close with Jay and Desiree Perez… That’s family to me.” While he didn’t go into specifics, DJ Envy noted that Roc Nation and Diddy don’t seem to “see eye to eye,” a statement Tacopina didn’t dispute.
