Looks like 50 Cent was right all along—the highly anticipated Big Meech “Welcome Home” concert has officially been canceled. The show, which was supposed to go down on February 13 at Amerant Bank Arena, had a heavyweight lineup featuring Lil Baby, Rick Ross, 21 Savage, Sexyy Red, Kodak Black, 42 Dugg, EST Gee, and Moneybagg Yo.
50, who has long been vocal about his connection to Black Mafia Family (BMF), quickly distanced himself from the situation. “I had nothing to do with this, please stop calling my phone,” he wrote in an Instagram post, adding, “I’m stronger than you think I am.”
The cancellation doesn’t come as a total shock, as concerns over security and logistics had been swirling for weeks. Fans will have to wait and see if Big Meech has another homecoming event in the works, but for now, this one’s a wrap.
