Inspired by Nas’s Got Yourself a Gun from Stillmatic, Vonkapri takes a metaphorical spin on the concept of having a “weapon.” For her, it’s not just about literal guns but also personal strengths like intelligence, skills, and talents that help people elevate themselves. Recently, Vonkapri collaborated with Fuego Base from Connecticut’s BSF camp, a rising star in the rap world. “He’s one of those ones that I got my ear to right now,” she says, clearly excited about the collaboration.
