DonBO, born in Columbus, Texas, and raised in Killeen, has always found inspiration in his family and the culture that surrounds him. Drawing influences from legends like Lil Wayne, Lil Durk, Eminem, Future, King Von, Sauce Walka, and Soulja Boy, he merges storytelling with raw energy to create tracks that resonate with listeners. His breakthrough came with the release of “GOOFIES” on YouTube, a collaboration with LilDonbo and TB Slime that put his name on the map. From that moment, it was clear that DonBO was not just another rapper—he was an artist with a message.
“I create player music mixed with drill,” says DonBO when asked about his sound. This fusion creates a style that’s both aggressive and smooth, a perfect balance between hard-hitting beats and introspective lyrics. And while he’s just getting started, DonBO already has big aspirations. When asked who he would love to collaborate with, his answer is clear: King Von, an artist he deeply respects. Even though he’s currently independent, DonBO is open to opportunities, saying, “I would like to talk about it,” when asked if he’d be interested in a record deal.
Despite being a newcomer, DonBO’s work ethic is unmatched. He writes all his own material and even creates his own music video concepts, ensuring that every element of his art reflects his personal vision.
