Drake’s Stake Wins Spark Controversy Amid Lawsuit and Investigation

Rapper Drake is once again making headlines — but this time, it’s not for music. The global superstar is facing growing scrutiny over his gambling livestreams with crypto casino platform Stake, following a new investigation by Bloomberg Businessweek.

According to the report, Drake allegedly wins Stake-operated slot games at a rate four times higher than the average player. Analysts reviewed roughly 1,500 hours of footage from 25 different gamblers and found that Drake hit major wins twice as often as the next-luckiest bettor. However, the data also suggests that when Drake plays third-party games not operated by Stake’s parent company, Easygo Entertainment, his win rate drops to more typical levels.

The findings arrive as Drake, Stake, and streamer Adin Ross face a class-action lawsuit. The suit claims their gambling livestreams mislead viewers by glamorizing what it describes as a “highly addictive” product. Filed on behalf of Missouri residents, the complaint argues that the streams exaggerate potential rewards while downplaying the financial risks — particularly for young audiences.

Both Drake and Ross have denied any wrongdoing.

Drake has openly promoted Stake since reportedly signing a $100 million endorsement deal with the company in 2022. His frequent posts showing massive bets and wins have attracted millions of viewers across social media.

Stake, however, has firmly rejected Bloomberg’s conclusions. The company called the findings “categorically incorrect,” arguing that comparing win rates across different games ignores how slot mathematics work. Co-founder Ed Craven previously addressed similar concerns in 2022, stating that influencers do not receive better odds and that all games operate on fixed, third-party controlled systems.

As the lawsuit unfolds, the controversy raises broader questions about influencer marketing, transparency, and the growing overlap between entertainment and online gambling.
