Every once in a while, a voice emerges that manages to walk the line between raw emotion and undeniable swagger. That’s exactly what you get with Its KiDDO, a genre-defying artist from Greenwood, Indiana, who’s carving out his own lane in the modern music scene. Whether he’s strumming heartbreak into acoustic melodies or riding the bounce of a trap beat, KiDDO keeps one thing at the core of it all: authenticity.
KiDDO’s sound is shaped by influences like Luclover, Lil Skies, and Sueco, but don’t get it twisted—he’s building something entirely his own. His acoustic songs, in particular, offer an introspective twist on the genre, channeling stories of love lost and lessons learned. “Polaroid 2,” his latest all-acoustic album, continues the legacy of his first Polaroid project—only this time, KiDDO says it’s his best vocal performance yet. “The inspiration just came from the love Polaroid 1 received. People vibe with my acoustic joints, so I had to give them more.”
The creative process for KiDDO is refreshingly simple—no major label glitz, no industry façade. He records in his home studio, often freestyling, letting emotion and energy guide each track. “Maybe sometimes I’ll have something written, but that’s rare,” he says. This spontaneity is what gives his music that raw, real edge.
Among recent wins, KiDDO proudly points to two milestones that speak volumes: landing on Apple Music charts and receiving a 2 million stream plaque from Muso. “That plaque is still hanging on my wall,” he says with a grin. Not bad for a kid doing it mostly for the love of the game.
When he’s not creating, you’ll find him engaging directly with fans on Instagram (@realitskiddo), sharing skits, stories, and sneak peeks into his life. That transparency is part of what keeps his fanbase locked in. “I just want people to enjoy what they’re hearing and come back for more.”
With future aspirations of touring, collaborating with artists like Luclover, and dropping even more heartfelt bangers, Its KiDDO’s journey is only getting started.
