Michael Bailer, a rising star in the trap music scene, is on a mission to leave his mark. Hailing from Edmonton, Alberta, Michael has been grinding in the music world for over eight years, blending his unique mix of rap, production, and mastering skills to create something truly special.
His musical journey started back in 2012 when he dropped his first song, a Christian rap titled “God’s Knowledge.” Fast forward to 2023, and Michael dropped his first serious release, “Know Me,” which marked the start of his ascent into the world of serious rap and trap music. Michael’s versatility shines through in his music, as he confidently navigates high-energy trap beats, soulful melodies, and melodic trap sub-genres.
Inspired by legends like Kanye West, Travis Scott, Don Toliver, and Lil Uzi Vert, Bailer pulls influences from the biggest names in hip-hop and makes them his own. “My sound is a mix of energy and soul,” says Michael, noting that he draws a lot from artists like Yeat and The Weeknd as well. His music is a reflection of his eclectic taste, pushing boundaries while staying true to his roots.
Currently, Michael is hard at work on his debut album, “Angel Shadows,” a project that promises to showcase his growth as an artist. But before the album drops, he recently released a banger titled “GO,” a track that’s already gaining traction on streaming platforms. He’s looking forward to bringing more heat this summer, with new releases just around the corner.
Although Michael is not signed to a label, he’s open to the idea of a record deal if the opportunity aligns with his vision. When asked who he’d want to work with, his answer is clear: Travis Scott. Michael’s ambition is evident, and it’s only a matter of time before he’s sharing stages with major acts like Post Malone, with hopes of performing in the iconic cities of Miami or LA.
Through all of this, Michael remains grounded, giving credit to his biggest supporters—his friends and girlfriend—who have been there every step of the way. His drive to succeed is unmatched, and in five years, he sees himself “successful.”
