Icewear Vezzo and Amanda Seales Make Amends After Heated Instagram Exchange

The hip-hop community is no stranger to drama, but sometimes, a public feud can turn into a lesson in forgiveness and understanding. This was the case when Icewear Vezzo found himself at odds with actress and activist Amanda Seales after a contentious Instagram exchange. The rapper has since apologized, and the two have mended their differences, highlighting the importance of unity in the face of disagreement.

The incident began on June 16 when Vezzo and fellow rapper Peezy posted a photo with former President Donald Trump. The image quickly drew criticism, especially from Amanda Seales, who has been vocal about social justice issues. Seales condemned the photo, arguing that associating with Trump wouldn’t lead to positive change for the Black community. She expressed her frustration on Instagram, calling out those who seek validation from figures she views as harmful.

Vezzo’s response was swift and intense. He took to his Instagram Story to call Seales a “weirdo” and a “lying little girl,” accusing her of being insincere and divisive. His comments ignited further controversy, as fans and followers debated the merits and consequences of both sides’ actions.

Realizing the need for a more constructive approach, Vezzo later reached out to Seales to clear the air. In a subsequent Instagram post, he shared that they had a conversation and resolved their differences. “I talked to Amanda. It’s all love,” he wrote. “She’s a woman. I should’ve never went that hard on her no matter what she did. It’s not that serious. She’s entitled to her opinions, even though there was an assumption made about me based off a picture with zero audio.”

Vezzo’s message underscored the importance of dialogue and understanding. He called for the community to avoid assuming the worst about each other and to learn to respectfully disagree. He concluded with a heartfelt sentiment, expressing his love for all women and acknowledging his responsibility to set a positive example, particularly for his daughter.

The reconciliation was further cemented by a video Vezzo posted, featuring both him and Seales smiling and expressing mutual respect. “This is a real queen. This is a real Black woman,” Vezzo said in the video, while Seales responded with appreciation for his efforts to uplift the community.

Addressing the broader context of his controversial photo with Trump, Vezzo explained that he approached the former president as a man and father, aiming to discuss important issues. He encouraged his followers to seek their own understanding and not to let social media dictate their views.

The resolution of the feud between Vezzo and Seales is a testament to the power of communication and the possibility of finding common ground despite initial conflicts. Their story serves as an example of how the hip-hop community can come together and support each other, even when opinions diverge.
