Kali, the Georgia-born rapper, has once again wowed her fans with her latest single, “Area Codes.” Released on March 20, 2023, the track draws inspiration from Jay-Z’s “Girls, Girls, Girls,” where the iconic rapper describes women in different cities. This time, Kali is the one sharing her experiences with men in different “area codes.”
The song, co-produced by Tate Kobang and YG! Beats, features Kali playfully updating her fans about the type of men she is dealing with. She raps about a white boy who feeds her pasta and lobster and offers to take her shopping, and she also talks about a man who sends her a stack of cash just because she’s “fine as hell.”
Kali has been on a roll since dropping her Toxic Chocolate mixtape in March of 2022. She has released videos for “UonU,” “New Day,” and “Standards,” as well as freestyles like “Waddup,” “Dangerous,” “FNF,” and most recently, “3M’s.” Her latest single, “Area Codes,” is another hit that has already gained significant attention from her fans.
Kali’s previous works include her viral hit “Do A Bch,” which was part of her This Why They Mad Now project, released in early 2021. The project featured seven tracks, including “Big Body” and “Bad Bad Bad,” and a sole feature from Ken The Man. After the success of “Do A Bch,” Kali teamed up with Rico Nasty for the song’s remix, which received widespread acclaim.
Kali has continued to prove her skills as a rapper and songwriter, and her latest single is no exception. “Area Codes” showcases her playful and witty side, and her fans are excited about what’s next for the rising star.
