What is your name/stage name?
My stage name is PeatrParkr.
Where are you from?
I’m from Woonsocket, RI but I’m currently
living in Providence, RI.
What do you do?
I am a producer, engineer, singer/rapper and lately
I been dabbling in songwriting for others.
How long have you been making music?
I have been making music since about 9 yrs old but have been
professionally making music since about 2012. As of about 2018
I have transition from a sound cloud artist to an all platform
artist under an independent label called WoonyTunes.
Who’s your biggest inspiration?
My biggest inspiration in music right now is myself I been trying
to be unique and keep myself from outside influences so I can try to create my own lane and sound.
What genre of music do you create?
My sound is hard to close into one genre but my sound is somewhere
between alternative, hip hop, & pop with touches
of melodic sad boy grunge rap.
What are some features you have?
Right now I don’t have any major features besides a few local artist
that I’ve been working with from RI and one with the international
artist under my independent label.
What are some features you want to get?
If I could get any feature I would really like to work with Kid Laroi,
Post Malone, Dua Lipa and Kanye West.
Who’s one person, dead or alive, that you’d want to work with?
If I could work with any artist dead or alive it would probably
be Juice Wrld, Kurt Cobain or Xxxtentacion.
Are you signed to a label?
Right now I’m not signed under any label per say but i started my own independent
label called WoonyTunes where I have a few local artist that I help represent
and one international artist from India.
Do you want a record deal, a distribution deal, or none?
I would like a record and distribution deal only if it opens the right doors and
actually helps further out reach with out trapping me and limiting my creative control.
Who are your biggest supporters?
My biggest supporters are my wife Camille & my cousin VeeBirdo.
Where did your name come from?
When I was younger I used the name ChrisMichaelJr which is pretty my birth name. I stopped
going by that around about 2013-2014 and started going by PeatrParkr. Me and one of my best
friends use to make music together and he decided to take a hiatus from music so when he did
I wanted to change my name until he decided to start making music again (which he hasn’t)
one day I was listening to one of our first songs we dropped together and there was a line
he said “I’m feeling super I’m Peter Parker” and something clicked when
I was listen to that song.
One of the last song me and him worked on together was a mix to Flava in Ya Ear
and I started freestyle while I was at work and I said“ First name Peatr Last
name Parkr flow so sick you might consider calling the doc, ock I smoke pot
they see the smoke they know I’m hot..” and I really digged where I was
going with it and just kinda ran with it. But I didn’t want to spell it
like Peter Parker because it was like spider man so I googled different
ways to spell it and peater came up on urban dictionary as “A person
who eats p***y” thought it was hilarious and was like that’s the one
but I didn’t like how it was spelled so I dropped the E in it and
that’s where Peatr came from and I dropped the E on Parker and
that was the beginning of Peatr Parkr.
What are you currently working on?
The last few month a have been working on producing a lot of beats that I plan on selling soon
(I’ve already sold a few this year) and I been writing songs that my wife has been singing over
beats I’ve made that we plan on releasing soon.
What is your latest release?
My latest release is my single 6Feet which is now streaming on all platforms which I been
planning on shooting a video for soon.
When is your next release?
My next release is a collab EP with my fiancé Camille of mostly pop music that I been producing
and writing it all myself for the both of us. So stay tuned for that.
