In December 2022, Metro Boomin released his successful album HEROES & VILLAINS, while Future dropped his own album, I NEVER LIKED YOU, in April of the same year. Although the two have collaborated frequently in the past, they hadn’t released anything together in a while until they teamed up again late last year. However, fans won’t have to wait long for a new joint project from the duo, as Metro confirmed in a recent interview that they are working on something together, and he would “definitely bet on” a collaboration coming out this year.
The confirmation follows Future inviting Metro on stage at his concert in Atlanta’s State Farm Arena in January, and Future teasing on Instagram that they were working on “the album of the year.” The two worked together on HEROES & VILLAINS, and Metro revealed that he saved his material with Future for a full-length LP rather than including a few songs on I NEVER LIKED YOU. Future has also recently indicated that he is back in “album mode.”
