From Eugene, Oregon, emerging artist Cosplay Jesus is carving out a unique lane in the alt-pop scene. A singer, songwriter, and producer, he’s spent the last five years refining his craft and developing a sound that blends infectious hooks with an edge that’s all his own.
Music has been a part of his journey since high school, when he released his first two tracks, “Nipple Piercings” and “Beloved,” right before graduation. Since then, his creativity has only expanded, inspired by artists like Glaive, MGK, Yung Lean, and Dominic Fike. With a commanding stage presence and a distinctive lower-toned voice, Cosplay Jesus is steadily building his reputation as a performer who stands out in both sound and style.
When it comes to making music, collaboration is at the core of his process. While he produces much of his work himself, he often teams up with his friend Ryan, who helps with mixing, mastering, and live instrumentation. This partnership has helped bring his bold concepts to life, including his latest single, “Hit the Pedal,” released in June. His next track, “Summer Sweat,” is set to drop October 4th as the first single from his upcoming second album, which will be rolled out piece by piece.
Despite being independent and unsigned, Cosplay Jesus has already played to crowds as large as 900 and dreams of taking his music even further, with Manhattan on his list of must-play destinations. Looking ahead, he envisions himself becoming the most influential artist to emerge from his hometown in the last decade.
With his originality, ambition, and unwavering drive, Cosplay Jesus is positioning himself not just as an artist to watch, but as a voice ready to leave a lasting impact on alternative pop.
