Slaughta Supa Charga Talks Sound, Struggles & Staying Independent

Q: Where are you from and how would you describe your sound?
I’m from St. Louis, Missouri. My sound is a mix of trap, country vibes, melody, and straight rap. I don’t try to box it in—it’s just real music that comes from my experiences.

Q: What inspires your music the most?
Life. Everything I’ve been through—family, struggles, even times where I lost my freedom. That’s what really shaped me. I put all of that into my music.

Q: How long have you been making music?
For a while now. One of my earlier projects was INTR4, and that helped people start to understand my style.

Q: What makes your sound different?
It’s the mix. I can go melodic, then turn around and get raw. That “trap country” vibe gives me freedom to reach different listeners.

Q: How involved are you in your creative process?
Very involved. I freestyle, write my own music, and come up with concepts for my videos too. I like to stay hands-on with everything.

Q: Any collaborations that stand out?
Yeah, “Last for Long” with D-Guapo is one of them. It came together naturally and still kept my sound intact.

Q: Dream collaboration?
Juice WRLD. His emotion and melodies really influenced this generation.

Q: What are some big moments in your career so far?
Opening up for Bone Thugs-N-Harmony was big. That was a moment for sure.

Q: Who would you like to tour with?
I could see myself going on tour with LG Malique. Our styles line up.

Q: Are you signed right now?
Nah, I’m independent. I’m open to deals, but it has to make sense. I know my worth.

Q: Who’s been your biggest supporter?
My wife. She’s been there through everything.

Q: What’s next for you?
I’ve got two projects in the works right now. I just dropped “93” and more music is on the way.

Q: Where do you want to perform in the future?
California for sure. I want to bring that St. Louis energy out there.

Q: Where do you see yourself in five years?
Happy and minding business.
