Raised in Virginia Beach—a city that’s birthed musical giants like Timbaland, Pharrell, and Missy Elliott—Steven has carved out his own lane, one beat, one strategy, and one vision at a time.
With over 20 years of experience, Steven has produced music across genres—from hip hop to pop-trap fusion. He got his first real taste of the industry in 2006, while still in high school, as a guitarist in the metal band Laid to Rest. But he wasn’t just playing; he was managing too—booking their first tour with Attila and laying the groundwork for a future built on creative and strategic leadership.
Fast forward to now, and his reach extends far beyond the fretboard. As co-founder of Legacy Formant Group—alongside longtime friend and business partner Joe Bain—Steven helps artists build infrastructure around their brand and music. His inspiration runs deep—from Virginia Beach roots to icons like Tupac, and from industry mentors to the tenacity of friends and family who’ve weathered the storm of the music business. Today, Steven wears many hats: producer, guitarist, brand strategist, and full-time manager to rising Michigan-based hip-hop artist Theo Early.
