Tunde, a Brooklyn native with a unique blend of influences from Soul, Jazz, R&B, Pop, and Hip Hop, has been carving his own path in the music world. Known for his melodic and distinct sound, Tunde’s music is more than just an auditory experience; it’s a reflection of his journey, his culture, and his beliefs. From the early days of writing in his kindergarten composition books to now making waves with his latest project, Tune E2M EP, his story is one of growth, creativity, and self-discovery.
His Father Dr. Bandele A. Omokoku has been a constant source of motivation, as well as his Mother Carol Monique Topaz Garner. His mother happened to grow up in Trinidad with Nicki Minaj’s parents (Robert and Carol Maraj).
For Tunde, music is not just about crafting catchy beats—it’s about delivering a message. His music speaks of self-love, confidence, and the freedom to live life without feeling confined or enslaved by societal expectations. It’s a call to embrace who you are and to focus on living in alignment with your true self, something that Tunde continuously strives for in both his music and his life.
One of his most significant career moments was being discovered by Baltimore artist Young Goldie at just 15 years old, after uploading rap freestyles online. From there, his journey as an artist continued to evolve, shaping his unique sound and artistic vision. Tunde believes that his music reflects a spiritual connection, one that transcends the surface and speaks to listeners on a deeper level.
With the Tune E2M EP, Tunde invites listeners into his world, collaborating with Nigerian artist E2M. The project, which serves as a musical bridge between cultures, is about sharing his essence, his journey, and the sounds that have shaped him. He uses social media, particularly Instagram and Threads, as tools to engage with his growing fanbase and to share his vision.
Through his music, Tunde maintains a sense of authenticity and individuality, staying true to his values and his roots, which are deeply connected to his D.R.A.M.A. Alkebulan Black History acronym. Amidst working a 9-5 job, he carves out time to focus on his craft, always working towards his long-term goal of creating timeless music that speaks to future generations.
Tunde’s journey is about more than just music—it’s about connection, growth, and expressing the realness of his experiences. His music is an invitation to anyone who is ready to feel empowered, to let go of their fears, and to walk with confidence in the direction of their dreams.
