Q: For people just discovering your music, who is Worldwide Dez?
Worldwide Dez: I’m an artist from Richmond, Virginia, but my vision has always been bigger than one city. That’s why it’s Worldwide Dez. I make music people can actually feel and remember.
Q: Your latest project, Worldwide Now – Who’s Worldwide?, has been gaining attention. What inspired it?
Worldwide Dez: It’s about showing where I am right now. Every song represents a different piece of my journey, from the struggles I’ve been through to the confidence I’ve built. I wanted listeners to hear growth.
Q: You’ve worked with artists like Chief Keef, YG, Famous Dex, and Chris Brown. What have those experiences taught you?
Worldwide Dez: Every collaboration teaches you something different. Seeing how established artists work motivates me to keep raising my own level and stay consistent.
Q: Your story includes overcoming addiction. How has that shaped your music?
Worldwide Dez: It changed everything. Going through those struggles made me appreciate life differently. Now I try to make records that are honest because somebody listening might be dealing with the same things.
Q: In 2026 you were recognized as Virginia’s Best Rapper. What did that mean to you?
Worldwide Dez: It meant people were paying attention to the work I’ve been putting in. It’s motivation, not a finish line.
Q: What’s next?
Worldwide Dez: I’m working toward my biggest album yet. The goal is a major release in 2028, and I’m taking my time making sure it’s something people will remember.
Q: What’s the message you want people to take away from your music?
Worldwide Dez: Keep going no matter what you’ve been through. Get money, stunt on your haters, and never stop believing in yourself.
