Bruno Mars has never really left the spotlight since dropping his 2016 smash 24K Magic—but now, fans finally have a brand-new solo era to look forward to. Ten years after that blockbuster release, the 16-time Grammy winner is officially set to return with his fourth studio album, The Romantic, arriving on February 27.
The timing might not feel like a full decade has passed since Bruno’s last solo project, largely because he’s stayed extremely active through high-profile collaborations. One of the most notable was his partnership with Anderson .Paak as Silk Sonic, a duo that reminded fans why chemistry and musicianship still matter.
“We kept coming up with music,” Bruno told Zane Lowe during a 2021 interview on Apple Music, describing the process as “natural and organic.” He explained that working with Paak felt like rediscovering why he fell in love with music in the first place—no pressure, no plan, just jamming and pushing each other creatively.
That approach paid off in a big way. Silk Sonic went on to win four Grammys in 2022, and Bruno kept the momentum going with another Grammy win last year alongside Lady Gaga. Now, heading into the 2026 Grammy Awards on February 1 at the Crypto.com Arena, Bruno is nominated for three more trophies.
This time, he shares Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance nominations with Rosé for their hit “APT.” The song was inspired by a Korean drinking game the two played in the studio—a concept Rosé initially worried might be too unserious. As it turned out, the track resonated globally, finishing 2025 at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 year-end chart.
Bruno’s solo momentum is just as strong. He’s currently sitting atop the Billboard Hot 100 for a second consecutive week with “I Just Might,” the debut single from The Romantic. The song also marks his first-ever No. 1 debut, knocking Taylor Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia” from the top spot.
On top of that, his upcoming The Romantic Tour is already completely sold out—proof that demand for Bruno Mars hasn’t cooled off in the slightest.
Once again, Bruno Mars is doing what he’s always done best: moving quietly, executing flawlessly, and dominating without ever needing to announce it. After ten years, The Romantic isn’t just a comeback—it’s a reminder.
