Braydee Releases Debut EP ‘The Prologue’

For release on February 23rd or later (23/02/24)

The Prologue iis the debut EP from Braydee, and is an Experimental Trap project which takes the listener on a journey through different vibes and genres, while still maintaining a cohesive and signature sound. Braydee made this project happen during a period of massive change in his life, from finishing Secondary School, to dropping out of college and experiencing heartbreak, but then finding his feet again and turning all that emotion into a piece of art he could share with others. Some influences on Braydee’s style would be Lil Wayne, Migos, Ken Carson and Sofaygo, and also video games and their synthy soundtracks. Braydee has said “It’s really great to have made my life into art, and for you to experience a little of what goes on inside my mind.”

The project is opened by an uplifting, hard and melodic track, which sets the stage (Or in this case Roots), for the rest of the listening experience. This track raises you up into your own world to allow you to absorb the rest of the sonic experience to come.

It also features the song Emo Girl which is an experimental Rap/EDM track with a thumping bass and unbelievably catchy hook, which was released as a single the week prior to the project. Emo Girl is a track that could get any club turnt up and full of energy, with its smooth vocals atop the electronic production.

A hidden gem amid the tracks is Smartie, which was self produced by Braydee for a College project, but hearing the beat and seeing its potential, turned into a two-take moshpit worthy freestyle.

The closing track, 3am in Dublin, brings the energy down and turns the sexy up to close out the project, and finish off your night of clubbing with your special someone. This smooth RnB inspired song is the perfect backdrop to any romantic plans you may have, and will have you in the mood to take your love all the way to Paris. “All these songs represent different moods I was feeling, different victories or defeats I had experienced, but I wanted all of them to contain happy feelings, or atleast hope, because there’s always hope.”

Braydee has been working hard to find purpose and cement himself in the Dublin Scene, with The Prologue serving as the beginning of his journey to wherever it is life might take him. Braydee is truly a dedicated and talented artist who channels his experiences right into art to connect with his listeners. With over half a dozen performances under his belt and a community of true music fans on his side, Braydee hopes that you will enjoy this body of work which he has spent many hours perfecting and bundling up for you to experience in its greatest form. “This really is only the start, and I’m grateful for everyone who tunes in and gets to claim their ‘OG’ Pass!”

Who is Braydee?

Braydee is a 19 year old Irish artist and self taught sound engineer who self engineers all his own music. He has released 5 singles previously and has been refining his unique sound with each release. He would describe it as melodic-trap with fast flows and emotional Ups and Downs, and with a lyrical style which blends witty Lil Wayne style one liners and ignorantly confident freestyles. Braydee makes music which is pretty different from the sound coming out of Ireland right now. “My sound is kind of like all over the place, but in a really good way, I like to try everything in my own way, which kind of ended up becoming its own thing entirely.”

Braydee has been at the forefront of the underground rap scene in Dublin, hosting the wildly popular event WLIN Underground, which regularly sees over 250+ music fans gather for a one-of-a-kind experience with crazy energy in Dublin. The event has had six sold out nights, with another planned for before the end of Summer. Braydee has said “WLIN’s vibe is so good because everyone is there to just have a blast and enjoy music they can’t hear anywhere else in Dublin”.

Previously, Braydee has also featured in publications such as Hot Press Magazine, IMRO and Slight Motif and performed with Dublin icon Sello.

He also works closely with the NOISE music organisation, which sets up free music events for teenagers and kids in their local communities in South Dublin.
