Exclusive: Sit Down Interview With Sante Fe, New Mexico’s Own “Magical” Music Maker Zachariah Grace

Q.) What is your name/stage name?

A.) ” Zachariah Grace “

Q.) Where are you located?

A.) ” Santa Fe, New Mexico. “

Q.) What is the meaning behind your name?

A.) ” Zachariah Grace is my real name. Zachariah is a Hebrew name which means “God has not forgotten”, and my last name is Grace. When you put it all together, you get God has not forgotten Grace. My music is about deep healing, and Grace is a quality I want my audience to feel when I play. “

Q.) What are your roles within the music industry?

A.) ” I am a Sound Healer and a flutist. I offer music that heals the soul and nourishes the ears. I collaborate with different artists in all genres of music to create musical magic. “

Q.) What got you into music?

A.) ” When I was 8 years old, my mother was hit by a truck when she was walking one night and died. She was listening to a CD called Taos Tales, by Native American flutist Robert Mirabal. That CD and those Flute sounds became a sacred way for me to connect with my Mother after she passed away. When I was 19, I bought my first flute and felt such a deep connection to my soul when I played. I began infusing my music with Reiki using two Japanese Reiki techniques in order to create deep healing for my audience. I’ve been doing this for 10+ years now. ”

Q.) What type of music do you make?

A.) ” Primarily I make New Age style music. Reiki infused Native American flute music. Music that truly heals a person’s body, mind, emotions and spirit. I’ve also collaborated with Hip Hop artists, DJ’s, folk artists, bringing healing flute sounds into those genres as well. “

Q.) How long have you been making music?

A.) ” My whole life, but I’ve only really begun sharing it with the world in the past 2 years or so. “

Q.) What are you making music for?

A.) ” I truly believe that sound is the medicine of our future, and I’ve seen how much my music helps people to heal and feel deep peace & grace. I want to spread positive healing music around the whole world to help anyone who needs to feel deep peace, which is Everyone. “

Q.) What’s driving you?

A.) ” A deep sense of knowing that I came here to change the world in a Big way. Knowing that sharing my music is so much more than myself. It’s a service that I need to offer in order to help create a more positive world to live in. “

Q.) Who are your biggest supporters?

A.) “ My children, my girlfriend, my audience & fans, my parents (who both support me from the spirit world), and myself. “

Q.) Are you signed to a label?

A.) ” Not currently. “

Q.) Do you want a record deal, a distribution deal, or none?

A.) “ I would love to work with someone who shares a similar vision and who can help me reach as many people as possible with these healing sounds. “

Q.) Who are some features that you have?

A.) ” I got to perform with Stratusphere at an Earth conscious festival called Gaia’s Gathering. We opened up for Random Rab, and that was a pretty surreal moment. “

Q.) What was it like working with Stratusphere ?

A.) ” Working with Stratusphere was incredible. He’s such a humble man, who is truly connected to something deeper when he’s performing. Bringing my sounds into his set was a magical experience. “

Q.) Who are some features you want to get?

A.) “ I’d love to get featured with artists from all different genres, but I would love to perform with Carlos Nakai, Peter Kater, Mary Youngblood, Robert Mirabal. ”

Q.) Who’s one person dead or alive that you’d want to work with?

A.) ” Carlos Santana would be a fun artist to work with. I really admire the way he brought his guitar playing into so many different genres and worked with so many talented artists. I’d love to do something similar with my music. “

Q.) is there anybody else you want to shout out for any reason?

A.) “ I want to shout out Sky Redhawk, who has been somewhat of a mentor to me over the years. He’s taught me how to listen to the flutes in order to find the songs that want to be played at each moment. “

Q.) What are you currently working on?

A.) ” I’m working on a new album that people can listen to for deep healing and meditation. An album that will work to clear, balance and align the 7 chakras (energy centers) to help balance the nervous system and allow people to overcome their blocks. ”

Q.) What is your latest release?

A.) ” My latest release is called Sacred Waters. It’s a 30-minute EP that can be found on all platforms. ”

Q.) When is your next release?

A.) ” My next release will be done before the end of 2022. “
