Meet Calio3way, a rhythm and blues artist with deep roots in New Orleans. Growing up in the Calliope Projects, he soaked in the local culture from an early age. “I’m a project baby,” he explains, adding that his love for music came from listening to his mom sing around the house. Watching videos of Michael Jackson and R&B groups like New Edition only furthered his passion.
Now, Calio3way blends the soulful, emotional essence of R&B with the streetwise grit of rap to create what he calls “gumbo music.” His sound is a fusion of influences, reflecting the cultural richness of New Orleans.
His latest track, “I’m Digging You,” is a standout. It explores the pain of falling for someone who doesn’t return your feelings. “The song came from real life,” he admits. “I was really into this girl, but she wasn’t feeling me.” Fans love the rawness of the track, appreciating the way he bares his emotions without holding back.
Life hasn’t been easy for Calio3way, but he’s never let that stop him. From navigating personal struggles to mourning the loss of his nephew, these experiences have only sharpened his resolve. His music reflects not just his life but the resilience and heart of New Orleans itself.
