Every artist has a turning point. For Huncho Markk, it was time to drop the old name and show the world who he really is. The artist formerly known as UTMR PlugHunxho is back with a new identity, a new mindset, and some serious backing behind him. Now managed by Dillon Cash at Swaggertown Records / Colossal Records, Huncho’s ready to show what he’s made of.
He comes from Riverdale, Georgia, but the story started in Atlanta, where Marquavious Bohannon was born on July 21, 2003. Raised around real music, Huncho grew up listening to soulful legends like Mint Condition and Erykah Badu thanks to his parents. That early vibe stuck with him, but as he got older, he started gravitating to the streets’ favorites—Chris Brown, Future, Lil Wayne—all artists who could switch lanes and still keep it real.
He dropped his first track “Pain In My Cup” back in 2021. It wasn’t just another record—it was a message. That pain was real, the hunger was real, and the people started to notice. His name started popping up more, and he knew it was only the beginning.
But as the music and the man grew, so did the vision. That’s when he made the move to rebrand. No more UTMR PlugHunxho. That chapter’s closed. Huncho Markk is who he is now—more focused, more experienced, and ready to take over.
In 2024, he finally touched the stage, performing “Blessing Me” with Dvybez at a local charity event. For a first show, he held it down like a vet. A few months later, he dropped his debut mixtape “Humble Youngin”, giving listeners a raw look into his life, his struggles, and his growth.
Now, with a strong team behind him and a clear lane ahead, Huncho isn’t slowing down. He’s not chasing trends. He’s building something real. His dream? Simple. He wants to stand in front of a crowd and hear them rap every word back to him—word for word, bar for bar.
Huncho Markk is more than a name. It’s a message. And if you’ve been sleeping on him, now’s the time to wake up.
