How Keith ‘Itz Youngin’ George Established Himself Behind The Scenes In The Music Industry

Keith ‘Youngin’ George II proves to be one of the hardest workers in the music business, as he continues to establish himself as a top marketer in the industry. Extremely gifted and creative in his approach, he has connected many dots, and put both artists and executives in positions to win. Often operating behind the scenes, the former mixtape DJ turned music executive, A&R and executive producer has had his hand in some of music’s big moments.

Youngin was born in the UK, but was raised as a military kid, traveling and living state to state in the US. In 2006 Youngin found his way into the music industry as a mixtape DJ known as DJ Youngin Beatz. As a DJ, he was able to work behind the scenes networking and building relationships with artists, managers, brands, executives, and mixshow hosts. His experiences as a DJ afforded him the opportunity to work with Yung Berg (Hitmaka) , Statik Selektah, Stack Bundles family, SwishaHouse Records, Soso Def’s DJ Delz, Dj Decko, King Crooked and more.

In 2008, Youngin was invited to New York as he was offered an internship with Sarah Alminawi, a Def Jam exec who managed recording artist Maino under her management company MGMT Inc. During that time he played a role in the marketing campaign for Maino’s hit single “Hi Hater”. In 2012 he and a colleague formed a team known as Block Bleedaz which consisted of producers and songwriters. By 2017, he transitioned into talent management, starting with a local rock band in San Antonio, who  signed to a major label for a brief stint. From there he partnered with Glu Ent. to co-manage recording artists Chris King and Ponce Deleioun

Today, Youngin works as a music liaison/A&R for Los Angeles based production company, Left Lane Music Group ran by partners and producers Tony “Fonz” WalkerIsaac “West$ide Ike” Lowery and Shawn “Source” Jarrett, whos recent credits include Trina, Dinero Farrar, Trinidad James and Jimmy Bolt. He is also an ambassador for sneaker cleaning brand Snkr Glove, founded by partners Anthony Duran and Brian Averbuch, and an associate producer for “For The Culture NYC” (FTCNYC PODCAST), a spanglish podcast highlighting latino culture and more, created by Adam Sanchez and Angel “Julito” Diaz along side creative director Robert “Fly Dinero” Vega sponsored by celebrity sneaker designer Francis “Franchise Fujimoto” Forbes with Fuji Moto Design. He also has teamed with former San Antonio Spurs executive Julian Dais in a partnership with entrepreneur Sean Bo to work with professional athletes to develop relationships and assist in elevating their careers.

Youngin’s marketing expertise, musical ear, exquisite experience and knowledge fuels his passion for music and it’s business, allowing him to be a great mentor and teammate, and has helped him as he is moving forward to continue to break down more doors. He will be partnering with brand strategist, Dave Tucker to welcome new clients, especially upcoming executives, artists and athletes, with the goal of building each client’s brands and their brand experiences. They aspire to bring change to the culture of the entertainment industry by providing a more positive, uplifting and authentic way to do business, while allowing their clients, as well as, themselves to lead a better life.
