Kerry-Ann Phoenix isn’t just an artist—she’s a force of nature. From the moment her father, a DJ, introduced her to music, it became her escape, her passion, and eventually, her purpose.
At just five years old, Kerry-Ann was already immersed in melodies, but it wasn’t until she moved to the U.S. that her dreams started taking shape. Watching The Little Mermaid at twelve sparked something inside her, but it was BET and MTV after school that truly ignited her fire. “I’d watch artists perform and think, ‘That’s what I want to do,’” she recalls.
Fast forward to today, and Kerry-Ann has built a career that embodies resilience and artistic evolution. She’s rocked the stage at a Def Jam event in North Carolina and collaborated with heavyweights like Ahktane Entertainment. Her track Tell Me Why featuring Rick Ross is just one example of how she blends raw emotion with undeniable energy. But the journey hasn’t been without its struggles.
The pressures of the industry, coupled with personal health battles, led to a period of burnout. Yet, instead of letting it break her, Kerry-Ann turned to therapy and songwriting, using music as a tool for healing. “Music is my life; I can’t see myself doing anything else long term,” she says. Her upcoming EP is a testament to that resilience, capturing the highs and lows of her personal and artistic growth.
Now, she’s gearing up to drop a new single from the EP, pushing her music further through social media and digital platforms. With an eye on a distribution deal, Kerry-Ann is setting the stage for the next big chapter in her career—one where she’s fully in control of her artistry and brand.
