Single Review: Michelle Langone tries to conjure up “the language of the soul” on new single ‘Home Reimagined’
Not content with being an award-winning vocalist, expert songwriter, and high-streaming artist, Florida singer Michelle Langone wants to explore the mysteries of the soul with her music. In the new single ‘Home Reimagined,’ she shows listeners how powerful her music can be.

Florida-based singer-songwriter Michelle Langone has released her latest single, ‘Home Reimagined,’ as she continues to be one of the most profound artists in America.
Michelle Langone has released some startlingly original songs since 2022, when she first began recording, for those who haven’t been paying attention to her.
Her debut EP, Coming Home, showcased an artist prepared to take a completely dynamic approach to music. In the EP and everything she’s done since, Michelle has combined her lifetime of involvement in music with her continuing journey to find spirituality, faith, and healing in the world.
A helpful description of her music reveals that she uses “nuanced storytelling and transcendent vocals…to speak the language of the soul.” She does this by constantly defying genre and convention. Michelle’s original songs might be called ‘pop,’ ‘soulful pop,’ or ‘operatic pop,’ but even these terms feel inadequate to describe what she does.
On her newest single, ‘Home Reimagined,’ Michelle switches things up genre-wise. ‘Home Reimagined’ sees Michelle revisit one of her earliest songs, 2022’s ‘Home.’ But on this new version, she remakes it into a strangely brilliant, exhilarating EDM track – while also managing to hold onto the song’s original themes about “chasing, seeking, finding, and ultimately surrendering to Love” and a higher power.
The idea for remaking ‘Home’ came to Michelle in a flash – and once she had the idea, she set about putting it into action as if in a fevered state. She teamed up with one of her closest collaborators, EDM legend Jake Neumar of BHAVIOR Music. Within two weeks, the pair had molded Michelle’s original song into something completely new.
Michelle shares ‘Home Reimagined’ at a pivotal time in her career. The 25-year-old has long been held in high regard by fellow music artists – and she has developed a small but fervent fanbase – but in 2024, she plans to release her most comprehensive body of work.
Michelle plans to release a song each month in 2024 in the lead-up to her first full-length album, which is scheduled to come out in November. This album had been coming for a long time (and was highly anticipated by her biggest fans). Still, Michelle has always been adamant that hard work and soul-searching would take priority over any arbitrary timeframe. When speaking about her music, she consistently talks about the ‘journey’ that it has taken her on – and she has been clear that only by embarking on this journey can she arrive at the kind of ethereal, powerful songs that she can be genuinely proud of.
With her album now set to be released in just a few months, it seems Michelle has finally arrived at her destination…
