Rising Star: J.J. Abrams’ Daughter Shines with Chart-Topping Hit and SNL Debut

At just 25 years old, the rising singer-songwriter is taking the music world by storm. Fresh off Taylor Swift’s Eras tour, she’s celebrating her biggest hit yet with “That’s So True” and recently made her mark as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live.

In an interview with Nylon published Tuesday, Abrams—daughter of acclaimed filmmaker J.J. Abrams—shared her parents’ reactions to her growing fame.

“They’re like, ‘What in the world?’” she joked, adding, “But it’s really sweet.”

While her father is known for directing sci-fi blockbusters like Star Trek and Star Wars, Abrams revealed that her greatest inspiration is her mother, calling her “the toughest person I know.”
