New footage that prosecutors say is tied to the federal case against Pooh Shiesty has surfaced online, offering a glimpse into the alleged January incident involving Gucci Mane that has become one of hip-hop’s biggest legal stories of the year.
According to federal prosecutors, the video was submitted as evidence in the government’s case and allegedly shows part of the confrontation that took place during what was supposed to be a business meeting at a Dallas recording studio. Authorities claim the meeting was arranged to discuss Pooh Shiesty’s recording agreement with Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records before escalating into an armed robbery and kidnapping.
Prosecutors allege the footage depicts Pooh Shiesty pressuring the head of 1017 Records to sign paperwork releasing him from his contract while another armed individual blocked the studio door. They further claim luxury watches, jewelry, cash, and other valuables worth hundreds of thousands of dollars were taken during the incident.
The authenticity of videos circulating on social media has not been independently verified. However, prosecutors maintain that the evidence forms part of a broader case that also includes surveillance footage, cellphone records, witness testimony, and other investigative material.
The federal case has already resulted in charges against Pooh Shiesty, whose legal name is Lontrell Williams Jr., along with several co-defendants, including rapper Big30 and Pooh Shiesty’s father. All have pleaded not guilty, and the trial is currently scheduled for 2027 after being delayed due to the complexity of the case.
The alleged dispute stems from Pooh Shiesty’s desire to leave Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records. Prosecutors contend that rather than resolving the matter through negotiations, the defendants orchestrated an armed takeover of the meeting to force a contract release. If convicted, the defendants could face life in prison.
Neither Gucci Mane nor Pooh Shiesty’s legal team has publicly commented on the newly surfaced footage.
As the trial approaches, the alleged video has intensified public interest in the case, which remains one of the most closely watched legal battles involving a major hip-hop artist. With prosecutors describing the evidence against the defendants as substantial, the proceedings are expected to draw significant attention when they eventually head to court.
