Drake’s ‘Janice STFU’ Rollout Continues With Exclusive Janice Parties Across North America

Drake has taken one of the summer’s biggest songs beyond streaming platforms by hosting a series of exclusive events for women named Janice, turning his viral hit Janice STFU into one of the year’s most creative promotional campaigns.

On Sunday, the OVO founder organized invite-only gatherings in multiple cities, including Toronto, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and Houston. The events were designed exclusively for attendees named Janice, serving as a playful response to the song’s tongue-in-cheek title.

Among the busiest stops was the Toronto celebration, where fans gathered outside the Cactus Club before the event officially began. Videos circulating online showed long lines of attendees waiting to enter, highlighting the excitement surrounding the unique promotion.

The gatherings weren’t just about music and socializing, either.

During the Toronto event, one lucky attendee reportedly walked away with a $5,000 cash prize, prompting cheers from fellow guests. Similar giveaways took place elsewhere, including the New York event, where another participant received $2,500 during what appeared to be a more intimate lunch-style gathering.

The Janice parties represent another unconventional chapter in the rollout for Drake’s ICEMAN era. In addition to releasing multiple projects connected to the album, Drake has kept fans engaged through interactive websites, public art installations, promotional stunts, and city-specific experiences.

Not everyone has viewed the campaign the same way, however.

Earlier this week, O’Shea Jackson Jr. jokingly compared the Janice events to Operation Flagship, the infamous police sting in which fugitives were lured by promises of free football tickets before being arrested. The comparison was clearly made in jest, and there have been no reports of anything resembling that historic operation at any of Drake’s events.

Beyond the Janice campaign, Drake has also continued making appearances at local businesses during his travels. While visiting Houston, he recently stopped by a local restaurant, praising its food and giving the establishment a boost through social media.

The Janice celebrations ran from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. local time, and clips from each city continue to surface online as fans share their experiences.

Whether viewed as a clever marketing strategy or simply a fun way to engage listeners, the events have helped keep “Janice STFU” firmly in the spotlight. As the ICEMAN era continues, Drake has once again demonstrated his ability to turn a hit record into a cultural moment that extends far beyond the music itself.
