Growing up in Champagne, IL, Dre Band$ always had a fondness for rap music but didn’t pursue his vision to create his own until he had graduated from Urbana High School in 2016.
Following his graduation, Dre joined rap group FloatGang for a year until serving in the Air Force and subsequently being released a year later. Influenced by his time with FloatGang as well as the Air Force, Dre began his solo career and started his own label Gwap Gang Records in 2018.
After the death of his best friend in 2019, Dre picked up the pieces with the help of his music and his family. He gives enormous credit to his older sister who is his biggest fan, and to his little brother who contributes behind the scenes to help Dre Band$ perfect his product for the people. Band$ is all about the music and the money. At just 21 years old, he already has so much to be proud of, and it’s just the beginning.
Dre is currently working on his 4th project, “Grind With A Passion” which is set to be released on October 5th. After that, his newest music will be a collaboration project with Nik Real Lil Water called, “Real Bands” which is expected to be released in early 2023.
