A$AP Rocky avoided prison time after being acquitted in his gun assault case on Tuesday (Feb. 18), and Tyler, The Creator made sure to celebrate the moment with his fans.
Tyler Reacts on Stage
While performing in Los Angeles for his Chromakopia World Tour, Tyler excitedly shared the news with the audience.
“I almost passed out,” he told the crowd. “My brother Rocky is not in cages. That’s a testament to watching who y’all keep around you. ’Cause dudes be jealous, bum-a** losers who wanna tear you down.”
He continued, “Shout out to my brothers. I love y’all to death. Shout out Rocky. I love you, na. My na free. Yessir.”
A Longstanding Friendship
Despite past tensions between A$AP Mob and Odd Future, Tyler and Rocky have developed a close friendship, often sharing playful moments on social media. They’ve collaborated on songs like Potato Salad and See You Again, and once teased a joint album, WANG$AP, though it never came to fruition.
Tyler’s Loyalty to Rocky
This isn’t the first time Tyler has shown support for Rocky. Back in 2019, when Rocky was arrested in Sweden, Tyler vowed never to perform in the country again. When Rocky returned to the U.S., his first live performance was alongside Tyler.
With Rocky working on his upcoming album, Don’t Be Dumb, Tyler remains a key figure in his circle.
