Rick Ross Extends Peaceful Message To Drake During Apple Music Interview

Rick Ross appears ready to move past his issues with Drake after more than a year of public tension tied to the explosive 2024 rap battles.

During a recent appearance on Apple Music’s Rap Life Review alongside French Montana, Ross addressed the ongoing fallout between himself and the Toronto superstar while discussing their recent Verzuz battle and his upcoming album Set In Stone.

The conversation turned toward the viral moment from the Verzuz event where Ross requested Drake’s vocals be removed from their classic collaboration “Aston Martin Music.” According to Ross, however, there is no real hatred behind the drama.

“Drake, if you listening to this, homie, listen to me. My na, shine,” Ross said during the interview. “No real na want to see you lose.”

Rozay continued by emphasizing unity, loyalty, and mutual respect within hip-hop culture. He reflected on moments when he and French Montana supported fellow artists during different peaks in their careers, suggesting that successful artists should continue uplifting one another rather than tearing each other down.

Ross also acknowledged French Montana’s continued loyalty to Drake, making it clear he respects that relationship despite their own issues.

“Montana still fk with you on 1,000,” Ross explained. “I’m not on no disrespectful st… It’s deeper than rap.”

Although the MMG boss still joked lightly about Drake during the conversation, his overall tone appeared far more reflective and respectful than in previous months.

The fallout between Rick Ross and Drake began during the heated 2024 battle involving Kendrick Lamar. Ross publicly sided against Drake during the conflict and launched several personal attacks aimed at the OVO rapper’s character, appearance, and business decisions.

At one point, Ross even claimed Drake had sent a cease-and-desist related to a verse involving French Montana. The feud eventually escalated beyond music, with Ross later getting into a confrontation with OVO supporters during a concert stop in Canada.

Still, recent comments from Ross suggest the hostility may finally be cooling down.

Whether Drake feels similarly remains unclear, but fans have noticed several signs recently pointing toward possible reconciliation between Drake and former collaborators who distanced themselves during the Kendrick Lamar battle.

With Drake preparing to release ICEMAN and Ross entering a new album cycle of his own, many listeners are now wondering whether the longtime collaborators could eventually reconnect musically after years of friendship and hit records together.
